"Pointillism is a style of painting in which small distinct points of primary colors create the impression of a wide selection of secondary colors."
Pointillism is where paintings are created by a repetitive series of dots / points of color. Some of its pioneers were 19th century painters, Paul Signac (France), Camille Pissarro (France), Vincent Van Gogh (Holland), Georges Seurat (France), and Théo van Rysselberghe (Belgium).
Here are some of my own digital paintings that I have created using this special effect, namely pointillism.
